PRO-AM/NON-PRO CLASSES
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Old West/ARHFA Pro-Am/Non-Pro events are open to any breed, age, or grade horses.
Pro-Am/Non-Pro Eligibility:
Riders who are not a full-time horse trainer or train horses as a primary income. Assistant
trainers are allowed to enter if their number allows them to. The Old West/ARHFA does
have exceptions to the trainer rule. If you feel like you are an exception to this rule, please
email the ARHFA office at arhfa.rope@gmail.com. With the new divisions the ARHFA has
created there is now a spot for all levels of Non-Pro- and Pro-Am riders to compete, as well
as those horses that have aged out of the futurity classes. This new division is an all-in-one
entry fee. Depending on how a rider enters, the ARHFA will divide the money up per class.
Riders must enter all classes eligible on the entry submitted or prior to the entries closing
date. Riders cannot add classes to their entry after the class has started. Old West/ARHFA
reserves the right to approve or deny a rider’s eligibility into the Pro Am/Non-Pro
regardless of their world series number.
Age Restriction – Riders can ride any aged horse
Number of Horses Riders Can Show – Riders can ride unlimited amount of horses in
each class.
Class Format – 2 full go rounds and top cumulative high scores will go to the finals. The
number of exhibitors going to the finals will be determined by the total number in each
class. Old West/ARHFA reserves the right to change the format to progressive after one
if the classes are very large.
Old West Heber City, UT event – The format will be 2 Full rounds and a short go.
Management has the right to change full-go rounds to progressive if class numbers are
over a certain limit. The total number of contestants going back to the finals in each
class will be determined on the total number of contestants in each class.
Memberships:
The Old West/ARHFA requires all owners and riders to be members of the ARHFA in order
to compete at any of the Old West/ARHFA events each year. Memberships are good for a
calendar year and will need to renew at the start of each year. If owner and rider are the
